What InterviewOnce is

InterviewOnce is a practice service. A live AI interviewer holds a spoken mock interview with you for a job title you choose, and a report is generated from the recording. The interviewer is an AI system, not a person, and the report is an AI-generated assessment.

It is not careers advice, a recruitment service, or a prediction. We do not guarantee interview or hiring outcomes, and a score in a report is an assessment of one practice session, not of you.

Your account

• You must be 16 or over and give a real email address you control.
• You are responsible for what happens under your login. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your interviews, recordings, transcripts, reports and CV files after a short grace period.

Credits, payment and refunds

• Interviews are sold as credits. One credit is one full interview with its report. Credits are priced in US dollars and paid through PayPal.
• Credits never expire. A credit is only used when an interview actually starts, which is when you press “I’m ready” on the pre-flight screen.
• If an interview fails on our side (the AI service is unavailable, or a connection cannot be recovered before ten minutes have elapsed), the credit is returned to your account automatically. You still receive a partial report from what was captured.
• Ending an interview early yourself, or leaving it, uses the credit. You will still receive a report from what was captured.
• Unused credits can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Write to hello@interviewonce.com from the email on your account.
• The free five-minute taster is a genuine slice of the interview and needs no payment. We may limit how many tasters an account can run.
• Prices may change. A change never affects credits you have already bought.

Recording

Every interview is recorded and transcribed; that is how the report is made. You consent before the first recording and see an indicator throughout. How recordings are stored, used and deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Fair use

Do not use InterviewOnce to do any of the following. We may suspend or close an account that does.

• Attempt to extract, copy or redistribute the question banks, competency models or interview plans other than for your own practice.
• Interfere with the service, other users, or the AI systems behind it, including attempts to make the interviewer behave outside its purpose.
• Upload a CV or other material that is not yours or that you do not have the right to share.
• Use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms or harasses anyone.

What you own and what we own

• Your CV, your voice, your answers and your reports are yours. You can download and delete them.
• The service, the competency models, the question banks, the interview plans and the report format are ours. You may use them for your own practice and not otherwise.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and the interviews reliable, and we have built specific safeguards for the ways they can fail. We cannot promise it will never be interrupted.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local consumer law that cannot be excluded.
